Mountain View’s Annual Community Thank Luncheon is Nov. 18 at noon at the Methodist Church. Each person is invited to bring a salad or dessert, and enjoy the fellowship of women from churches in the area.
Help support the 2016 medical mission trip to Haiti by joining a group painting party on Sunday Nov. 15.
The “Praise the Lord and Pass the Paintbrush” event will begin at 2 p.m. in the FBC Fellowship Hall. Cost is $25 per person and all supplies will be provided.
Please contact Angie Jester if interested in participating. The class is limited to 20 people. If more than 20 are interested, another time will be scheduled.
First Baptist Church Student Ministry is hosting a DiscipleNow Weekend Dec. 4-6. All area youth, grades 7-12 are invited to join the fun!
Events kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and finish after worship service Sunday morning.
The weekend theme is Anomaly, and will focus on getting back to what really matters – a heart that is fully after Christ. Expect worship, togetherness, fun and Bible study. The speaker will be Doug Compton, and worship will be led by the FBC Wednesday night Remedy Band.
Activities will take place at FBC, at homes of church members, and will venture into the community as well as a possible mission field in the nearby area. Students will be transported by bus to and from all locations. Youth will be housed in volunteer host homes in the Mountain View area and will be grouped together in like age-groups and gender.

We are celebrating the marriage of Cynthia and Taylor Glass with a wedding shower Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to come and bless this new couple as they begin their lives together.

The Boomers and Busters are taking another trip this Saturday, Nov. 7. Everyone is invited to join us! We will be going to the Fishin’ Pig restaurant in Poplar Bluff and will leave the church at 4:30 p.m.
